Khauf Release Time: Horror films have a huge fan base in India and the audience has been quite intrigued with the spooky factor in the plot. After several horror films managed to entertain the audience last year, it is time for the first horror release of the year. We are talking about Khauf. The horror series is directed by Pankaj Kumar and Surya Balakrishnan and is written by Smita Singh. Khauf comes with an interesting ensemble of cast including Monika Panwar, Rajat Kapoor, Abhishek Chauhan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Chum Darang and Shilpa Shukla. The trailer was released earlier this month and it opened to rave reviews from the audience

Revolving around Monika Panwar's character, Khauf narrates the story of a young woman's hostel room which hides a history of violence. Haunted by her past, she battles inexplicable forces within the room's confines and beyond. Needless to say Khauf has managed to create a substantial buzz in the town and everyone is eagerly looking forward to the big release

To note, Khauf will be coming with eight episodes and will be releasing on April 18, 2025. It will be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video. Meanwhile, talking about his role in Khauf, Rajat Kapoor told IANS, "The character is unlike anything I've done before. All I knew was, when I got the call and read the material, I was genuinely excited. It felt like a big shift for me-a real departure from what I've done in the past. Before meeting (director) Pankaj and (creator) Smita, I read through the material they had sent me, and just reading it was thrilling. I actually felt a tingling sensation up my spine, which doesn't normally happen. I was extremely hooked and was already very excited about my role. Sometimes, a role can get diluted or not live up to your expectations, but this one was quite the opposite. The shooting experience, the costumes, the makeup - everything elevated it further. This is one of the few projects I've worked on that I'm really looking forward to. I don't usually get this excited about my work, but this one is truly exciting".
