DHURANDHAR 2 TEASER OUT: RELEASE DATE, BOX OFFICE CLASH AND OTHER DEETS

After the impressive box office run of Dhurandhar, the makers have finally unveiled the teaser of its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, raising excitement among fans. The teaser offers a quick look into a darker and more intense world, setting the tone for what lies ahead. Ranveer Singh is seen returning in a fierce and commanding avatar, creating havoc on the streets of Lyari and hinting at the high-stakes conflict central to the film.

A major change this time is the film's wider release plan. While Dhurandhar arrived only in Hindi, Dhurandhar 2 will hit theatres in five languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Directed and written by Aditya Dhar, the film is produced by Aditya Dhar, Jyoti Deshpande, and Lokesh Dhar.

The first part featured a strong ensemble cast that included R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal. It focused on a covert counter-terrorism operation, following an Indian intelligence officer who goes undercover to break into Karachi's criminal and political circles in order to stop a major threat to national security.

Picking up from that storyline, Dhurandhar 2 moves forward with Hamza Ali Mazhari, an Indian undercover agent who has firmly placed himself within Pakistan's underworld. As anticipation builds, the film is also drawing attention for its box office clash with Yash's Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, making the March 19 release date a closely watched one among movie audiences.

Ahead of the release of Dhurandhar 2, the makers are making a few important behind-the-scenes changes. One of the first quiet updates was the shift in the film's music label from Saregama to T-Series, a move that largely went unnoticed at the time. Now, another major change has come to light with the film's digital release plans.

For those unaware, Dhurandhar recently premiered on Netflix. However, the OTT streaming rights of the sequel, across all languages, have been secured by Jio Hotstar for a substantial amount. Yes, you read that right!

This update was officially confirmed when the team revealed the intense first-look poster of Dhurandhar 2. In addition to this, the satellite rights of the film are with the Star Group. After its theatrical run, the movie will premiere on Star Gold for the Hindi version, while the Telugu version will be aired on Star Maa.
