Solo Leveling Season 3 Release Date Update: When Will The New Season Of Anime Series Premiere?
Solo Leveling fans are still waiting for clear news on season 3, even after season 2’s strong run on Crunchyroll and the success of the ReAwakening movie. The next chapter of Sung Jinwoo’s journey is not officially scheduled yet, but production comments, webtoon arcs, and industry timelines offer clues about when and how it could arrive.

At present, only Solo Leveling seasons 1 and 2 are streaming, and both are exclusive to Crunchyroll in India and globally. All 25 episodes are locked to the platform. There is no indication that Netflix, Prime Video, or any rival service will share the licence soon, so a Crunchyroll subscription remains essential for anyone catching up.
Solo Leveling season 3 Release Date Reports
Solo Leveling season 3 is stuck between planning and full production, with no firm release window. A-1 Pictures producer Atsushi Kaneko posted earlier this year on Twitter that "something truly exciting might happen" for Solo Leveling fans, yet also cautioned that everyone needs to "wait just a little longer." That combination suggests movement, but also a slow schedule.
Based on usual anime production pipelines and Solo Leveling’s ambitious action scenes, a long gap appears likely. A realistic estimate points to winter 2027 at the earliest for Solo Leveling season 3, with a later 2027 debut more probable, especially if the series skips major reveal opportunities at AnimeJapan in March and the Anime Awards in May.
Viewers hoping for a Solo Leveling season 3 trailer will probably need similar patience. Anime productions normally share a 10-to-15-second teaser only after work is officially underway, often paired with a key visual or first-look artwork. A fuller trailer usually follows six to twelve months later, which would place any extended Solo Leveling season 3 footage around 2026 at best.
Solo Leveling season 3 story arcs and characters
Season 2’s finale shifted the stakes sharply on Jeju Island. Jinwoo finally stepped into the chaotic raid on the ant nest, but not before several S-Rank hunters died. The Ant Queen struck first, and then the Ant King followed, leaving the human force in ruins before Jinwoo made a late entrance and changed the outcome.
Jinwoo killed the Ant King and ended the immediate threat. Thanks to the healer Byung-gu, who had previously died but was brought back through Jinwoo’s powers, Hae-in survived serious injuries. Jinwoo then cleared out the remaining ant forces across Jeju Island and raised the fallen Ant King as a Shadow Soldier, naming the new ally “Beru” to serve under Jinwoo.
Events off the battlefield hinted at broader dangers. Jinwoo considered setting up a new guild, with Hae-in preparing to train and work beside Jinwoo. On Jeju Island, two unidentified beings easily wiped out a local team, while Sung Il-Hwan quietly watched them from a distance. Those brief moments teased a deeper mystery behind Jinwoo’s powers and the global dungeon crisis.
Solo Leveling season 3 is expected to focus heavily on those new figures and the forces behind them, while following Jinwoo’s push to establish the Ahjin Guild and handle the Recruitment arc. The adaptation will likely adapt roughly chapters 111 to 122 of the webtoon for the guild storyline, then move through the Double Dungeon, Japan Crisis, and International Guild Conference arcs.
That selection of material would carry Solo Leveling season 3 up to around chapter 148 or 149. Without delving into major spoilers, viewers can expect Jinwoo to dig deeper into the source of his abilities, revisit the deadly Double Dungeon, and encounter expanded lore about the Monarchs, who are positioned as major antagonists for later stages of the story.
Solo Leveling season 3 trailer, movie plans and streaming
Most central cast members are expected to return for Solo Leveling season 3. Sung Jinwoo should once again be voiced by Taito Ban for the Japanese audio track and Aleks Le for the English dub. Hae-in is likely to reappear with Reina Ueda and Michelle Rojas, while Jin-ah should return with Haruna Mikawa and Rebecca Wang voicing the character.
Sung Il-Hwan’s growing importance, especially after watching the mysterious Jeju battle, means further screen time is probable. Rikiya Koyama and Robert McCullum are expected to continue in the Japanese and English roles respectively. Additional international hunters, guild leaders, and key Monarch figures should join the cast as the story expands beyond South Korea.
A second Solo Leveling film also seems possible, given how ReAwakening worked. That movie both recapped the first anime season and extended into a preview of season 2, while earning several million at the global box office. With Solo Leveling’s audience still increasing, producers may again choose a compilation-style film to summarise Arise from the Shadow and tease Solo Leveling season 3.
For now, Solo Leveling season 3 remains unconfirmed publicly, yet the combination of producer comments, webtoon material still to adapt, and the franchise’s strong performance on Crunchyroll and in cinemas makes further anime episodes highly likely. Fans will have to rely on official announcements from A-1 Pictures, Crunchyroll, and AnimeJapan-style events for any concrete release details.
