OMG Oh My God - Movie Preview

Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal has already rocked the audience with their slapstick comedy film series Hera Pheri. Now, this super hit combo is coming back with another comedy-drama titled OMG Oh My God, which has been directed by Umesh Shukla and jointly produced by Ashvini Yardi, Akshay Kumar and BK Modi.

OMG Oh My God is a comedy-drama that will help people to understand the need to love god. The movie brings out a message one should look for god within himself. If one loves god whole-heartedly then he will eradicate all his problems. Bhavesh Mandalia has written the script for this much-hyped film.

Synopsis: Kanji Mehta is an atheist, who runs an antique shop. For him, God and religion are nothing more than a business proposition. He buys old looking god and other religious idols, which he sells as 'antique' idols at double or triple times its original price. God is the biggest money spinner for him.

One fine day a slight tremor of an earthquake shakes the city. The earthquake causes the destruction of Kanji's shop. When the Insurance Company refuse to pay the loss, Kanji decides to file a case against God on the premise that if God is responsible for his loss. He sends legal notices to the various high priests and heads of various religious sects. What happens next will form an interesting part of the film.

Paresh Rawal is playing Kanji Bhai, while Akshay Kumar appears as Krishna Vasudev Yadav in the movie OMG Oh My God. Mithun Chakraborty, Poonam Jhawer, Govind Namdeo, Mahesh Manjrekar, Nidhi Subbaiah, Murli Sharma are in other supporting roles in the movie.

Himesh Reshammiya has composed the music for the soundtracks of OMG Oh My God, which has the lyrics of Shabbir Ahmed, Kumaar, Swanand Kirkire and Subrat Sinha. The Krishna Janmashtami song 'Go Govinda', which features Prabhu Deva and Sonakshi Sinha, is one of the highlight in it.

However, OMG Oh My God has raised eyebrows from some quarters, who alleged that it has hurt religious sentiments. In reply, director Umesh Shukla says that the film is not against any religion or God. It's a light-hearted comedy film. The movie is slated to release in theatres on September 28.
