After
tickling
the
audiences
with
his
wit
and
humour
for
years,
now
our
very
own
Khiladi
Akshay
Kumar
is
back
with
raw
action
in
his
latest
release
Rowdy
Rathore.
Directed
by
the
dance
guru
Prabhi
Deva,
Rowdy
Rathore
is
a
remake
of
the
Telugu
blockbuster
Vikramarkudu.
Rowdy
Rathore
is
a
full-blown
masala
entertainer,
that
will
surely
impress
you
with
Akki's
desi
punches,
colourful
songs
and
lots
of
romance.
Story:
Rowdy
Rathore
narrates
the
story
of
Rowdy
(Akshay
Kumar),
who
is
a
petty
thief
and
gets
the
thrill
out
of
duping
people.
Rowdy
falls
head-over-heels
in
love
with
Priya
(Sonakshi
Sinha),
a
pretty
girl,
whom
he
met
at
a
wedding
in
which
he
wasn't
invited.
The
story
takes
a
shocking
twist
after
a
six-year-old
Neha
enters
into
the
picture
and
claims
that
Rowdy
is
her
father.
Rowdy
decides
to
find
out
the
truth
behind
the
girl's
claim,
that
finally
unveils
the
mystery
of
the
story.
Performances:
Akshay
plays
a
double
role
in
the
movie,
that
bestows
him
with
abundant
opportunity
to
flaunt
each
shade
of
his
skill.
Akki
is
in
his
best
form,
with
his
rowdy
romance
and
comedy.
Akshay
promises
raw
action
in
the
film
and
his
one-liner
‘Don’t
Angry
Me’
is
already
on
everyone’s
lips,
which
make
for
a
good
recall
value.
Sonakshi
plays
a
lovable,
charming,
yet
impish
character
very
well.
Especially,
the
desi
girl
image
suits
her
impeccably.
The
child
artist
portraying
the
part
of
Akshay's
daughter,
is
really
cute.
Other
characters
like
Paresh
Ganatra,
Yashpal
Sharma,
Gurdeep
Kohli
adds
colour
to
their
respective
episodes.
Music:
Pretty
Sonakshi
Sinha's
red
sari
act
on
the
number
'Chammak
Challo
Chail
Chabeeli',
draws
a
comparison
with
Kareena
Kapoor's
'Chammak
Challo'
from
Ra.One.
'Chinta
Ta
Ta'
is
the
pick
of
the
lot
and
the
presence
of
leading
actors
Vijay
and
Kareena
Kapoor
and
Prabhu
Dheva
himself
gives
it
an
edge,
while
'Dhadang
Dhang
Dhang'
and
'Aa
Re
Pritam
Pyaare'
are
lively,
full-of-zest
tracks
as
well.
Talking
on
a
serious
note,
the
story
of
Rowdy
Rathore
goes
illogical
to
some
extent,
but
it
won't
disappoint
you
at
all
due
to
it's
desi
packaging.
Akshay’s
moustache
and
garish
look
in
the
film
as
Rowdy
works
for
the
character
and
his
action
skills
were
never
doubted
by
anyone.
The
film
reaches
an
all
time
high
due
to
the
fun,
action
And
Akki's
dialogues.
Verdict:
Overall,
Rowdy
Rathore
has
the
potential
to
set
the
cash
registers
ringing,
provided
it
delivers
what
it
promised.
Rowdy
Rathore
is
a
total
paisa
wasool
film,
hence
it's
a
must
watch.
