After
delivering
hits
like
Apne
and
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana,
the
Deols
are
now
back
with
the
season's
much-awaited
sequel
to
the
2011
blockbuster
YPD,
that
released
today.
Directed
by
Sangeeth
Sivan,
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
2
features
Sunny
Deol,
Dharmendra
and
Bobby
Deol
and
Neha
Sharma
in
the
leads.
Like
its
prequel,
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
too
is
an
enjoyable
and
an
out-an-out
entertainer.
Story
The
super-hit
trio
of
Dharam
(Dharmendra),
Paramveer
(Sunny
Deol)
and
Gajodhar
(Bobby
Deol)
reunite,
this
time
in
the
United
Kingdom!
Paramveer
opens
up
the
"Yamla
Pagla
Deewana" club
and
re-encounters
a
visit
with
Dharam
and
Gajodhar,
after
their
last
presence
in
Canada.
Now,
the
trio
are
back
with
double
the
masti,
double
the
fun,
double
the
action,
with
the
presence
of
fool
(Johnny
Lever),
and
double
the
romance,
with
the
Suman
(Neha
Sharma),
and
Paramveer's
love
Reet
(Kristina
Akheeva).
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
2
introduces
an
Orangutan
to
play
a
pivotal
part
in
the
film.
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
2
is
genuinely
funny
and
entertaining,
but
the
movie
has
its
share
of
a
few
negatives.
Especially,
the
script
falters
at
times,
as
the
lead
actors
overdo
comedy.
Certain
episodes
in
the
movie,
lack
the
charm
and
fun
factor,
that
might
turn
a
big
disappointment
for
the
viewers.
Performances
In
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
2
Sunny
Deol
is
extremely
appealing,
and
does
even
a
better
job
than
what
he
did
in
the
prequel.
Even
at
50,
Sunny
is
quite
a
charmer.
Performances
One
is
sure
to
fall
in
love
with
the
child-like
Dharmedra,
who
delivers
and
amazing
performance.
Bobby
Deol
is
OK,
but
fails
to
keep
up
to
the
level
of
the
two
senior
Deols.
Neha
Sharma
and
Kristina
Akheeva
Neha
Sharma
and
Kristina
Akheeva
look
stunning
and
add
to
the
glam
quotient.
Neha
has
the
meatier
role
compared
to
Kristina.
But,
none
of
the
girls
manage
the
make
an
impact
with
their
presence
and
acting
in
the
film.
Music
The
music
of
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
2
boasts
of
some
genuine
high-pitched
Punjabi
tadka
songs.
While
a
few
sound
an
overdose
of
Punjabiness,
a
few
songs
are
just
worth
it.
Final
Verdict
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
2
boasts
of
some
hilarious
moments.
But,
on
the
whole,
things
go
overboard
and
a
few
cheesy,
meaningless
dialogues
tend
to
shatter
all
your
high
expectations.
