Mr X Movie Review: A Complete Kids' Entertainer

Mr. X is a 3D sci-fi thriller which stars Emraan Hashmi in the lead role. The movie, directed by Vikram Bhatt, stars Amyra Dastur in the female lead role. Mr. X is produced by Mahesh Bhatt and presented by Mukesh Bhatt.

Mr. X Plot

Mr. X (Emraan Hashmi) is an officer with the anti-terrorist squad. Mr.X is a righteous officer who goes through a very traumatic incident in the line of duty, where a couple of people almost get killed by him.

Mr. X is fighting for his life and, as a last resort, he is given an experimental treatment that reacts adversely with him. His cells stop reflecting light and he turns invisible. Now he can only be seen in direct sunlight and blue light.

In the beginning, this poses many problems for him and is a serious hindrance. But Mr. X evolves into a man who finds a way to harness his ailment and becomes a superhero. He uses his power to fight against the wrongdoings.

There is also a love story here. He is in love with a colleague on the anti-terrorist squad. But then the tables turn and they become enemies.

Mr. X Cast

Emraan Hashmi in and as Mr. X will be seen as an invisible superhero. Amyra Dastur as Milli Arora has her share of good performance in the film.

Arunoday Singh is Emraan Hashmi's nemesis in Mr. X. Arunoday Singh plays a devious, menacing, cold-blooded villain in Mr. X.

Mr. X Script and Direction

Mr. X is written by Shagufta Rafique and directed by Vikram Bhatt.

Just like its name, Mr X has its script 'invisible' and makes you yawn with its meandering direction.

Producer Mahesh Bhatt in an interview said, "From the time the protagonist becomes invisible, which is right at the start, the movie has abundant scenes that stand out for the way the VFX has been executed. Invisibility is a cool power to be seen in 3D. I was blown away by the VFX and I'd like everyone to watch it in 3D."

Mr. X Songs and Background Score

The soundtrack of Mr. X is composed by Jeet Ganguly, Ankit Tiwari and Ankur Tiwari. Singers including Arijit Singh and Ankit Tiwari have lent their voice and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt makes his debut as a playback singer.

Hit single 'Tu Jo Hain' by Ankit Tiwari has become a popular song from the film, while other songs don't stand out.

Overall, Mr. X is cashing in on both the 3D effects and Emraan Hashmi's charm. When the film releases on April 17, we will know if it will rock the Box Office or not.
