In
1993,
Shahrukh
Khan
had
played
the
negative
character
of
an
obsessive
lover
in
Darr
and
we
still
can't
forget
his
terrific
acting
in
the
film,
(especially
that
K..K..K..Kiran).
However,
since
a
few
years,
SRK
was
doing
only
romantic-comedy
films,
which
only
got
average
reviews
from
the
critics!
After
a
long
hiatus,
Shahrukh
Khan
is
back
with
a
'hatke'
film,
i.e.,
Fan
and
let's
see,
what
this
movie
has
in
store
for
all
of
us...
This
Shahrukh
Khan
starrer
is
a
double
dosage
of
entertainment
owing
to
his
two
different
characters
in
the
film.
Shahrukh
will
play
his
own
biggest
fan
and
at
the
same
time,
he
will
also
portray
his
real
life
character,
a
Superstar.

Cast:

Fan
Plot:
This
film
is
all
about
a
fan's
fandom.
Gaurav,
who
owns
a
small
cyber
cafe
in
Delhi,
is
a
huge
fan
of
Superstar
Aryan
Khanna,
worships
the
Superstar
and
is
all
crazy
about
him
(as
he
says,
wo
sirf
star
nahi
hai,
duniya
hai
meri.)
Gaurav
achieves
something
big
in
his
life,
which
makes
him
very
popular
in
his
community.
To
dedicate
his
achievement
to
his
Superstar,
Gaurav
decides
to
meet
Aryan
Khanna
on
his
birthday,
so
that
he
can
wish
him
and
also
show
what
he
has
achieved
because
of
him.
Gaurav
embarks
on
a
journey
and
reaches
Mumbai,
while
facing
a
few
difficulties.
Everything
is
nice
and
exciting
for
the
young
obsessive
Gaurav
till
he
meets
Aryan
Khanna.
He
gets
the
biggest
shock
of
his
life
when
his
favourite
Superstar
refuses
to
share
time
with
him
and
refers
Gaurav's
actions
to
a
crime.
Well,
what
made
Aryan
say
so,
for
that
you
have
to
watch
the
film.
Things
take
an
ugly
turn
and
all
his
love
and
admiration
for
Aryan
turns
to
a
dangerous
obsession
that
crosses
the
line.
How
far
Gaurav
goes
with
his
obsession
and
what
mess
he
creates
in
Aryan
Khanna's
life
is
for
you
to
find
out.
Performances:
Coming
to
Shahrukh
Khan's
performance,
he
has
pulled
off
both
the
characters
so
effortlessly
that
at
one
point
you
will
feel
like
standing
up
and
clapping
for
the
actor.
SRK
has
worked
really
hard
on
Gaurav's
character.
Right
from
his
body
language,
to
his
looks
and
typical
'Delhi' accent,
SRK
has
given
complete
justice
to
the
role.
From
the
actor's
angle,
Gaurav
is
perfect.
But
we
feel
the
director
should
have
done
more
research
on
the
detailing
of
Gaurav's
character.
SRK's
co-star
Waluscha
De
Sousa,
who
is
debuting
in
Bollywood
through
this
film
shares
very
little
space
in
the
film,
that
we
can't
judge
her
acting
skills.
Technicalities:
Coming
to
the
direction
of
the
film,
we
will
give
credit
to
Maneesh
Sharma
only
for
the
second
half
of
the
film.
The
sequence
that
appears
a
few
minutes
before
the
interval
is
so
long
that
we
wished
that
the
particular
over-exaggerated
sequence
got
over
soon.
We
appreciate
Maneesh
for
the
gripping
climax
as
he
has
helmed
it
really
well.
Worth
praising!
As
it's
a
YRF
film,
our
expectation
from
the
editing
team
was
rather
high,
which
they
couldn't
fulfill.
There
were
many
scenes,
wherein
the
direction
was
good,
SRK's
performance
was
outstanding,
but
because
of
the
average
editing,
the
scene
didn't
come
out
well
on-screen.
The
film
has
been
shot
in
the
stunning
locales
like
Croatia,
London,
Mumbai
and
Delhi
and
the
cinematographer
of
the
film,
Manu
Anand
has
done
a
beautiful
job.
The
team
of
Fan
has
spent
a
bomb
on
the
VFX
of
the
film,
which
actually
looks
amazing
on-screen
and
works
as
the
backbone
of
this
thriller
flick!
No
matter,
whether
you
are
a
Shahrukh
Khan
Fan
or
not,
this
film
is
surely
a
must
watch.
There
are
a
few
flaws
but
don't
worry
at
all!
Shahrukh
Khan's
'double
dhamaka'
is
totally
a
paisa-vasool
and
you
can
easily
give
it
a
shot,
that
too,
along
with
your
full
family!
