What's
Yay:
Picturesque
locations
of
Georgia.
What's
Nay:
Everything
else
in
the
film!
Popcorn
Refill:
Every
time
Aditya
Seal's
Shekhar
gets
preachy
about
pyaar
and
khushiyaan
and
you
wish
someone
takes
him
away
from
the
screen!
The
Iconic
Moment:
'Tum
Bin
2'
has
several
unintentional
hilarious
moments
that
makes
you
chuckle
just
because
there
is
nothing
else
to
do.
Plot:
Amar
(Aashim
Gulati)
and
Taran
(Neha
Sharma)
are
all
set
to
get
hitched
soon.
But
before
that,
the
lovers
zoom
off
to
some
snow-clad
vacation
because
ek
song
toh
banta
hai
boss!
Catastrophe
strikes
in
Tarana's
life
when
the
very
next
day
Amar
goes
for
skiing
and
is
assumed
to
be
perished
in
an
accident.
Poor
Tarana,
she
finds
it
difficult
to
cope
with
this
sudden
loss
and
keeps
hallucinating
about
her
dead
fiancee!
It's
time
for
the
other
hero
to
make
his
entry
and
so,
we
have
Shekhar
(Aditya
Seal)
entering
the
girl's
gloomy
world
to
bring
some
happiness
and
sunshine
in
her
life
and
help
her
in
moving
on.
As
time
passes
by,
Taran
and
Shekhar
fall
in
love.
Why?
Because
pyaar
reasonable
nahin
hota,
bas
ho
jaata
hai!
But
wait,
there's
more
to
it
when
it
is
discovered
that
Amar
had
survived
the
accident!
Soon,
he
reunites
with
his
family
and
Tarana
complicating
lives
both
for
the
characters
in
the
film
as
well
as
the
audience.
Suddenly
one
wonders
if
this
film
would
put
you
off
romance
for
ever
while
the
makers
are
in
no
mood
to
have
mercy
upon
us.
They
keep
dragging
the
story
forever
leaving
you
fossilized
by
the
end
of
it!
Direction:
After
Rock
On
2
last
week,
here's
one
more
sequel
that
disappoints
you
to
the
core.
Anubhav
Sinha's
Tum
Bin
was
a
sleeper
hit
and
probably
that's
what
made
him
come
up
with
this
film.
But
hey,
the
film-maker
seems
to
have
forgotten
to
do
his
homework
well
and
what
you
get
instead
is
a
sloppy
end-product
with
zero
plot!
The
first
15
minutes
and
you
know
where
the
film
is
heading
towards
but
you
still
wait,
keeping
your
fingers
crossed
and
waiting
for
some
twist.
Sadly,
that
moment
never
arrives
in
the
entire
film!
Acting:
Aashim
Gulati
sleepwalks
through
his
role
and
looks
clueless
about
what's
happening
around
him.
We
feel
you,
bro!
The
only
brief
that
Neha
seems
to
have
received
is
to
keep
shedding
buckets
of
tears
and
act
as
a
poor
soul
craving
for
love
as
the
men
in
her
life
continue
with
their
disappearing
act.
(P.S.
Her
cycle
is
her
only
constant
companion
throughout
the
film.)
However,
the
most
annoying
thing
of
Tum
Bin
2
is
Aditya
Seal's
character
Shekhar
whose
philosophical
take
on
love
and
happiness
is
a
tortuous
ride!
Dads
can
be
messed
up
too,
at
times
and
Kanwaljeet
Singh
can
second
that!
Other
Technical
Aspects:
Tum
Bin
2
is
all
gloss
and
no
matter.
Evan
Mulligan's
cinematography
is
top-notch
but
sadly
that
alone
can
rescue
this
sinking
ship.
The
editing
scissors
could
have
been
sharper.
Music:
Apart
from
the
reworked
version
of
Jagjit
Singh's
Teri
Fariyaad,
none
of
the
songs
stay
with
you!
Verdict:
There's
a
line
in
the
film
where
one
of
the
character
says-
Awaargi
ke
bhi
apne
alag
maze
hai
..Ek
hi
raaste
se
kahi
baar
gujro..toh
aksar
bahut
si
nayi
baatein
nazar
aati
hain..Toh
shayad
pehli
baar
mein
hi
dikh
jaani
chahiye
thi
...Toh
shayad
kabhi
bhi
nahi
dikhni
chahiye
thi!
Alas,
but
visiting
the
lanes
of
Tum
Bin
2
even
once
is
a
tiring
journey!
This
one
is
worth-a-skip!
