Animal Review: Ranbir Kapoor Turns Into A Beast For This Full-On Paisa Vasool Sandeep Reddy Vanga Directorial

Animal Review: There was a time in Bollywood when filmmakers used to make long films and audiences used to enjoy it. But, from the past few years, we haven't seen many movies that even crossed the runtime of 3 hours. But, today, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor has hit the big screens and it has a runtime of 3 hours 21 minutes. So, does Animal keep you hooked throughout? Well, the answer is a BIG YES!

Animal is about Ranvijay (Ranbir Kapoor) who since childhood has not received much love and attention from his father Balbir (Anil Kapoor). But his love for his father is on another level. One day, someone tries to kill his father and Ranvijay goes on a revenge mode to know who did it and why. How he finds the person and takes the revenge, and how his bond with his father turns out to be, forms the rest of the story...

The movie is written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga who is known for helming Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh (Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy). Both the movies were blockbuster in their respective languages. While those were romantic films, Vanga has taken a very different route with Animal. He has come up with an action-thriller that also has a family-emotion angle and of course there's romance. He has presented a perfect package that gives the audience everything.

One of the biggest positive points of the film is that even with such a long runtime, it doesn't bore you even for a second. Vanga's narration is just perfect. The action in the movie is WOW and the interval block is the best pre-interval sequence we have seen in Bollywood in a very long time.

But yes, of course, we cannot forget that the movie has a couple of scenes (not many) that might feel like the filmmaker is trying to show toxic masculinity. However, if you felt that Kabir slapping Preity was bad, wait till you watch Animal as Geetanjali (Rashmika) has taken revenge for Preity in this movie. (Wink Wink)

Now, let me talk about the biggest disappointment of the film. (SPOILER ALERT) Bobby Deol hardly has any role. The actor has performed amazingly in whatever scenes he has and he is looking hot, but we surely wanted more of him. Also, one more point that we would like to say is that this movie is not for faint hearted people. It has a lot of violence and blood.

Performance wise, this movie belongs to Ranbir Kapoor. He is simply EXCELLENT in Animal. The actor is known for majorly doing rom-coms, but this is a totally new Ranbir that we have seen and he has nailed it. Anil Kapoor is surely the heart of the film and has performed wonderfully.

Rashmika Mandanna faced a lot of trolling after the trailer was released, but her fantastic performance, especially in the emotional scenes, will shut everyone's mouth. Triptii Dimri has an extended cameo and she leaves a strong mark with her performance in the movie. Also, Ranbir shares great chemistry with Rashmika and Tripti both. It is good to see veteran actors like Prem Chopra, Suresh Oberoi, and Shakti Kapoor in a good film like this after a long time, and they do grab our attention and make their presence felt.

Vanga's films have amazing music and Animal is not an exception. Satranga, Arjan Vailly, and Sab Kuch Mita Denge will be on your playlist for sure after watching the movie.

Overall, Animal is one of the most entertaining films of the year. Ranbir Kapoor has delivered a mind-blowing performance and it's a A Must Watch!
