Dono Review: Rajveer Deol And Paloma Starrer Is A Beautiful Love Story With A Touch Of Rajshri's Movies In It

Dono Review: When we hear or read about Rajshri Productions, family dramas like Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Vivah, and others come to our minds. Sooraj Barjatya is known for directing these wonderful movies. Now, Rajshri's legacy is being carried forward by Avnish Barjatya, Sooraj Barjaty's son. The young filmmaker is making his debut with Dono which has hit the big screens today. While Avnish makes his directorial debut, Sunny Deol's son Rajveer Deol, and Poonam Dhillon's daughter Paloma make their acting debut with Dono. So, have these young people made a good film? Dono is about Dev (Rajveer Deol) who is in love with his best friend, but he has never told her about it, and now, she is all set to get married to someone else. At the wedding, he meets Meghna (Paloma) who is the groom's friend. Meghna also has a difficult situation at the wedding as her ex-boyfriend is there as well. Now, how these two people connect with each other in this unusual situation forms the rest of the story...

Nowadays, when filmmakers try to make a romantic film, either it is a romantic-drama or a romantic-comedy. But, Avnish has taken a different route, and he has come up with a sweet, simple, and beautiful romantic movie. It's very refreshing and not even for a second you will feel bored.

Romance has always been an integral part of family dramas that were made by Sooraj Barjatya. But, this time, romance is the main element. However, Avnish has included the family part also in the film which gives a perfect Rajshri touch to it. The movie also tries to tackle the issue of patriarchy and that has been done wonderfully. Clearly, Avnish has made a fantastic debut as a director.

Now, let's talk about the star kids who are making their debut with the film. Rajveer Deol and Paloma both have great screen presence and they look amazing together. Their chemistry is also just perfect. Rajveer looks handsome and has performed very well. He just needs to work a bit more on his dialogue delivery. On the other hand, Paloma is one of the best debuts in the past few years. She is confident and has carried the role of Meghna wonderfully. We really hope to see these two actors in more films.

Apart from Rajveer and Paloma, the movie has a few more young actors like Aditya Nanda, Kanikka Kapur, Rohan Khurana, Manik Papneja, and Poojan Chhabra, and they all are extremely good in their respective roles.

Rajshri's movies always have good songs, and Dono is not an exception. After a long time, a music album by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has grabbed our attention and impressed us.

Overall, Dono is a beautiful romantic film and it's very refreshing to watch newcomers Rajveer Deol and Paloma on the big screens. So, yes if you like romantic films this is a must-watch for you.
