Farrey Review: Alizeh Makes A Confident Debut With This Film That Surely Gets An 'A' Grade

Farrey Review: Salman Khan's niece, Alizeh, who is the daughter of Atul Agnihotri and Alvira Khan Agnihotri, is all set to make her acting debut with the film Farrey. The movie also stars Prasanna Bisht, Sahil Mehta, and Zeyn Shaw in the lead roles, and it is directed by National Award winning director Soumendra Padhi. So, is this film worth a watch? Well, the answer is a BIG YES!
Farrey is about Niyati (Alizeh) who is topper and she gets a scholarship to study in a high-fi school. There she meets Chavi (Prasanna), Prateek (Zeyn), and Aakash (Sahil). While Chavi and Prateek are rich, Aakash like Niyati is a scholarship student. Now, Niyati as a friend helps Chavi once in her exams and later, the rich kids offer her to help in exams and in return they will give her money. How this cheating game starts and will they be cuaght or not, forms the rest of the story...
Farrey is written by Soumendra Padhi and Abhishek Yadav, and Padhi has even directed the movie. Yadav and Padhi's wiritng and the latter's narration is just perfect. It keeps us hooked throughout. Padhi has presented the movie in a very refreshing way. When it comes to thiller-dramas, we mainly see that the ambience of the film is very dark. But, Padhi has made a colorful thriller that is also very visually appealing.
There are scenes that will keep you on the edge of the seat. The use of clocks during the exam sequences is just amazing. It gives you that adrenaline rush whether the kids on screen will be able to finish their exams on time or not. So, yes, that kind of atmostphere is created by Padhi in the movie.
Performance-wise, Alizeh surely steals the show. She has a great screen presence and makes a very confident debut. Alizeh is surely a talent to look out for. After Alizeh, it is Prasanna Bisht who grabs our attention; she is fantastic as Chavi. The boys, Zeyn Shaw and Sahil Mehta, are also very good in their respective roles. Ronit Roy as always is just wonderful and it is good to see Juhi Babbar on the big screens after a long time.
The music of the film is decent. But, the background is damn good and perfectly gels with the films theme.
Overall, Farrey is an engaging and refreshing thriller, something which we rarely get to see in Bollywood movies. Also, Alizeh's fantastic debut surely deserves a watch.
