KHO GAYE HUM KAHAN ACTING REVIEW

I would like to take a moment and praise Ananya Panday for the way she has carried the character. She deserves the appreciation as one could feel what went inside Ahana's head while her boyfriend decided he wanted a 'break'. Can the filmmakers please offer her similar roles? She will rise and shine if the character she plays is relatable and her age.

Take a bow Adarsh Gourav. There's a reason why he was hailed after The White Tiger. He justified the role of Neil Pereira, proving why he deserves to have all the spotlight.

I loved Siddhant Chaturvedi's portrayal as Imaad and the various shades in his character. He essayed the said role effortlessly, just like how a 25-year-old would. Man oh Man, Sid you will definitely make an amazing stand-up artist.

The trio Siddhant, Ananya and Gourav showcased the vulnerability of the actors onscreen with perfection. Their off-screen bond was reflected on-screen and this was like cherry on the top.

The story is about three friends Ahanad, Neil and Imaad and how they manage their relationships, keep their goals intact and emotions in check in a world where we seek instant gratification through Instagram likes, views.

We see an Instagram influencer enjoying her lavish vacation in Maldives and we believe 'woah, she is living the real-life'. But not everything is as rosy as presented on social media folks.

While filmmakers have infused social media as an element in their plot, Arjun Varain Singh made an entire movie that focused on digital loneliness at a time when everyone is 'connected' with their family members and friends on social media. But is the connection 'real and genuine'?

In the tryst to showcase the best version of ourselves on Instagram, we are losing the 'true inner-self' and this is where the movie hits you. Kho Gaye Hum Kahan doesn't have the required ingredients of a masala entertainer like romance, thrill, or mystery but it strikes a chord with you as it touches upon relatable topics.

In an era, where we are busy swiping right and left on Tinder, hooking up and moving on, Arjun's directorial debut focuses on emotional intimacy, real connections and living in the present. The storyline is simple and that's what works best for the film. It retains your attention as Imaad says 'Log sirf 20 seconds ka video dekhkar judge karlete hai, aage dekhna hai ki nahi'.
