Round

The

stars
Milind

While
the
trailer
and
the
songs
have
received
a
decent
response,
is
the
film
worth
a
watch?

Starfish
is
about
Tara
(Khushalii
Kumar)
who
stays
in
Malta
with
her
family
and
is
a
diver.
Due
to
a
disturbed
past,
she
gets
panic
attacks
and
is
mentally
stressed.
Meanwhile,
she
meets
Aman
(Tusharr
Khanna)
and
starts
dating
him.
But,
a
fight
takes
place
between
them,
and
later
Tara
meets
Neil
(Ehan
Bhat)
and
falls
in
love
with
him.
Well,
her
love
life
is
a
bit
messed
up
and
plus
she
is
having
a
trauma
of
the
past.
How
Tara
manages
her
life
forms
the
rest
of
the
story...
The
movie
is
based
on
a
book
named
Starfish
Pickle
by
Bina
Nayak
and
it
is
directed
by
Akhilesh
Jaiswal.
The
film
starts
off
very
well
but
starts
losing
its
grip
in
between,
however
it
once
again
picks
up
during
pre-interval
portions.
While
the
first
half
is
average,
the
second
half
is
better
and
the
climax
might
leave
you
surprised.
Starfish
could
have
been
a
better
film
if
the
screenplay
and
the
narration
were
tighter.
It's
not
a
bad
film
but
a
better
narration
would
have
done
wonders
for
it.
Also,
the
editing
is
one
of
the
weakest
points
of
the
film.
In
a
few
scenes,
the
movie
just
jumps
from
one
scene
to
another
without
any
continuation.
One
department
where
the
film
gets
full
marks
is
the
cinematography.
Jim
Edgar's
camera
work
has
done
wonders
for
the
film.
Starfish
has
been
shot
wonderfully
and
the
underwater
scenes
will
surely
take
you
to
a
totally
different
world.
Talking
about
performances,
Khushalii
Kumar
has
given
a
fantastic
performance
and
there
are
some
really
difficult
emotional
scenes
that
she
has
performed
very
well.
The
actress
is
also
looking
super
hot
in
the
film.
After
Khushalii,
it
is
Ehan
Bhat
who
grabs
our
attention.
He
has
great
screen
presence
and
leaves
a
mark.
Milind
Soman
as
usual
looks
charming
and
has
done
a
good
job.
Tusharr
Khanna,
who
makes
his
Bollywood
debut
with
the
movie,
is
good
in
his
part.
The
film's
music
is
also
quite
good
and
Fanaa
Kar
Do
and
Kudiye
Ne
Tere
will
surely
grab
everyone's
attention.
Overall,
Starfish
had
the
potential
to
be
better,
but
it's
not
a
bad
film.
It
has
some
good
performances
and
wonderfully
shot
sequences
that
make
the
film
visually
very
appealing.
