Tejas Review: Kangana Ranaut is undoubtedly one of the most talented actresses we have in the industry. The actress' last Hindi film was Dhaakad which was panned by critics and it failed to make a mark at the box office. However, everyone has been quite keen to watch her new film Tejas which has hit the big screens today. So, is Tejas worth your time and money? Find out in our review below...

Tejas is about a girl named Tejas (Kangana Ranaut) who is an IAF pilot and she can do anything for her country. In one of the horrific incidents, she loses her loved ones and terrorism is something she feels that everyone in India should take it personally. One day, she gets a mission to rescue an Indian Spy from Pakistan, and how she does that forms the rest of the story.

The movie is written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara, and it is a clear case of a bad first half and a fantastic second half. The first half of the movie is slow, boring, filled with many songs, and a lot more. Before the interval, you will feel like you have wasted your time and money on a film like this. But, wait for the second half!

Tejas picks up fantastically from the interval point. It just becomes another film and flies high. The second half of the movie is so engaging that it will keep you on the edge of the seats till the climax. Also, there are some hilarious scenes featuring a character named Aafia and it will make you laugh of loud. Well, the biggest negative element about the movie is VFX. It is really bad!

Performance-wise, Kangana Ranaut has nailed it as Tejas. You might feel in the first half that maybe her performance is a bit weak as her vulnerable side is being shown. But, from the interval point, her character becomes very strong and Kangana has performed amazingly. She once again proves that she is one of the most talented actresses we have in the industry.

While Kangana is fantastic, it is Anshul Chauhan who steals the show. Anshul plays the role of Aafia and she has been given some amazing scenes in the film. Varun Mitra has a small role to play and he is good in his part. Rohed Khan has scenes where he just has to act with his eyes and he has done it well. Veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi also leaves a mark.

Overall, Tejas turns out to be a decent patriotic film with Kangana's fantastic performance in it. If the first half and VFX were better, then this one would have been an amazing movie.
