The
Vaccine
War
Review:
It's
been
a
really
long
time
since
we
have
seen
Nana
Patekar
on
the
big
screen.
He
was
last
seen
in
the
Tamil
movie
Kaala
which
was
released
in
2018.
Now,
after
five
years,
the
actor
is
back
with
Vivek
Agnihotri's
The
Vaccine
War.
The
movie
also
stars
Pallavi
Joshi,
Girija
Oak,
Nivedita
Bhattacharya,
Sapthami
Gowda,
Raima
Sen,
and
Anupam
Kher.
The
Vaccine
War
has
hit
the
big
screens
today,
so
is
it
worth
your
time
and
money?
Read
our
review
below
to
know
that...
The
Vaccine
War
revolves
around
the
scientists
of
the
Indian
Council
of
Medical
Research
and
NIV
(National
Institute
of
Virology),
and
how
they
created
India's
first
vaccine
for
Covid,
Covaxin.
While
we
have
read,
heard,
and
watched
(in
the
news)
about
this
Vaccine,
Vivek
Agnihotri's
film
gives
us
proper
details
about
what
actually
happened
during
those
days,
and
how
the
vaccine
was
made.
The
film
is
based
on
the
book
'Going
Viral'
by
Dr.
Balram
Bhargava.
The
character
of
Dr.
Bhargava
is
played
by
Nana
Patekar
and
The
Vaccine
War
showcases
how
Dr.
Bhargava
was
already
concerned
about
the
virus
even
before
it
majorly
affected
the
country.
The
film
progresses
like
we
are
reading
a
book.
Every
part
of
the
film,
just
like
a
book
has
different
chapters.
Vivek
Agnihotri's
film
showcases
that
while
we
were
sitting
inside
our
houses,
there
was
a
team
of
scientists
working
day
and
night
to
create
the
vaccine
and
save
people.
There
are
sequences
that
keep
you
on
the
edge
of
the
seat
as
you
will
be
keen
to
know
what
will
happen
next.
Also,
some
emotional
scenes
will
make
your
eyes
moist,
and
not
to
forget,
this
film
will
make
you
feel
proud
of
our
country
and
our
scientists.
In
the
second
half,
the
film
does
drop
a
bit
and
the
pace
becomes
slow.
But,
once
again
it
picks
up
wonderfully
during
the
pre-climax
scenes,
and
the
climax
will
surely
make
you
applaud
this
movie.
When
it
comes
to
performances,
let's
start
with
Nana
Patekar.
It's
a
treat
to
watch
the
veteran
actor
on
the
big
screen
after
such
a
long
time,
but
the
wait
has
surely
been
worth
it.
He
is
excellent
as
Dr.
Bhargava,
and
of
course,
the
way
he
mouths
dialogues
will
surely
put
a
smile
on
your
face.
Pallavi
Joshi
once
again
delivers
a
wonderful
performance
and
it
is
hard
to
imagine
any
other
actress
in
this
role.
Girija
Oak
and
Nivedita
Bhattacharya,
both
actresses
are
fantastic
in
their
respective
roles
and
will
get
tears
in
your
eyes.
Sapthami
Gowda
has
less
screen
time
compared
to
other
actors,
but
she
is
good
in
her
role,
and
Anupam
Kher
is
impressive
in
his
cameo.
Raima
Sen
also
puts
up
a
good
act
in
the
film.
The
music
of
The
Vaccine
War
is
good,
and
whenever
Nasadiya
Sukta
plays
in
the
background
it
will
give
you
goosebumps.
Overall,
The
Vaccine
War
is
a
film
that
will
make
you
proud
of
our
country
and
our
scientists.
It's
a
very
informative
film
narrated
in
an
entertaining
and
engaging
way.
It's
a
must-watch!
