The series starred our very own Desi Girl, Priyanka Chopra, in the lead role along with Richard Madden. While Citadel received mixed response from the critics, it was announced that there will be spin-offs of the show made in different countries, and the Indian spin-off was titled Citadel Honey Bunny. Raj & DK were roped in to direct and Varun Dhawan and Samantha were cast to play the lead roles. Finally, today, the series has started streaming on Amazon Prime Video. So, it is worth a watch? However, during a mission, Honey and Bunny get separated. Was the mission reason behind their separation? Will Honey and Bunny be back together? To know all these answers you need to watch the show...
Citadel Honey Bunny is written by Sita R. Menon and Raj & DK, and the latters have directed it. The series has six episodes, and the first two episodes are for the build which has been done very well. The show picks up fantastically from third episode. Third, fourth, and fifth episodes are simply amazing. They keep us hooked and there some really good chase sequences in these three episodes.
But, the disappointing factor is the last episode. The show becomes very slow in the sixth episode. The climax that should have been the highlight, is a bit weak. However, the best thing about Citadel Honey Bunny is the action. There some really well choregraphed action sequences!
Citadel Honey Bunny Review: Actors' Performances
Varun Dhawan and Samantha, both the actors are damn good in their respective roles. It is a treat for Varun's fans to watch him in the action avatar. However, the show stealer is Samantha. She has been given some of the best scenes in the series, and she has nailed it. She has effortlessly done the action as well. The child actor Kashvi Majmundar leaves a strong mark, proving her mettle that when she grows up, she is Priyanka Chopra.
The supporting actors like Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Sikandar Kher, Saqib Salim, Soham Majumdar, and Shivankit Singh Parihar are very good in their respective roles.
Citadel Honey Bunny Review Final Verdict
Overall, Citadel Honey Bunny is a good show with some really fantastic chase and action sequences. However, a better last episode could have taken the show to another level. But well, according to us, Citadel Honey Bunny is better than the American Citadel.
