Kalki 2898 AD Hindi Review: Big B Is Simply EXCEPTIONAL In This Gigantic Entertaining Movie; A Must Watch!

Kalki 2898 AD Hindi Review: From the day Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD was announced, everyone was eagerly waiting for it. The film has a fantastic star cast like Amitabh Bachchan, Pabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. Before the release, the makers had launched two trailers, and both were good. Today, after a long wait, finally, Kalki 2898 AD has hit the big screens, and while we can clearly say that it was worth the wait!

Kalki 2898 AD is set in an era which is 6000 years after the Kurukshetra war (Mahabharat). The world is divided in two parts, one is Complex (where all the rich people stay and they get all the facilities) and the normal place where everything looks like scrap. Only, if you have 1 million units, you can stay in the Complex. Bhairava (Prabhas) who stays in the normal Kaashi, dreams of staying in Complex. Now, in the Complex, under Supreme Yaskin (Kamal Haasan), a project called Project K is going on. For that they want to use the baby in a girl's (Deepika Padukone) womb. But, she successfully runs away from the Complex and has a huge bounty on her. Bhairava decides to catch the girl and get the bounty, but Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan) is there to protect her because she will be giving birth to Bhagwan. Now, what happens next, for that you need to watch the film...

The first half of the film is a bit slow and it does take time for build up. After a decent first half, you might not have a great expectations from the movie. But, the movie takes a huge turn post interval.

In the second half, Kalki 2898 AD goes to a totally different level. Nag Ashwin has directed Mahanati, and it was a fantastic film. So, expectations from this film were also quite high, and we have to say that he surpasses the expectations. Ashwin has surely directed one of the best films in Indian cinema. The movie in the second half will keep you hooked, and it has action sequences that will make clap and whistle in the theatre.

One department that deserves all the applause and awards is VFX department. The VFX in the film is simply fantastic. It's a VFX heavy, and they have done an amazing job with the visual effects.

Kalki 2898 AD Actors' Performances

Talking about performances, it is an Amitabh Bachchan. After a very long time, we have got to watch Big B is such an amazing role that does justice to his stature of Megastar. It's a treat to watch him as the angry man back in action. Prabhas also leaves a mark with his performance and he is good. Deepika Padukone proves that she doesn't need much dialogues to act, she can act with her eyes. She is surely wonderful in the movie.

Saswata Chatterjee as the antagonist is damn good, and Shobana also leaves a strong mark. Kamal Haasan has a cameo and now, we hope to watch him more in the sequel. Disha Patani doesn't have much to do.

There are multiple cameos in the film, and all of them are very good. A little spoiler, there's a cameo by Ram Gopal Varma, and it's hilarious.

Kalki 2898 AD Hindi Review Final Verdict

Overall, Kalki 2898 AD is a visually grand film, narrated wonderfully by Nag Ashwin. Amitabh Bachchan is simply excellent, and other actors also leave a mark. So, it is surely A Must Watch!
