Mismatched Season 3 Review: Rohit Saraf & Prajakta Koli Starrer Fails To Get A Hattrick

Mismatched Season 3 Review: In November 2020, while we were still fighting with the pandemic, and trying to get used to the new normal with the masks, Netflix came up with a show titled Mismatched. A rom-com starring Rohit Saraf and Prajakta Koli in the lead roles. The series was like a breath of fresh air and it received a good response from the critics and the audiences. In 2022, season 2 of the show premiered on Netflix, and even that received a good response. Now, Mismatched season 3 has made it's way to the OTT platform, so is it as good as the first two seasons? Find out in our review below...
Mismatched season 2 ended with Rishi (Rohit Saraf) being selected for NNIT and Dimple being rejected for it. Now, after three years, Rishi is successfully building a Betterverse (on the lines of MetaVerse) along with Nandini (Dipanita Sharma), Anmol (Taaruk Raina), and others in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Dimple (Prajakta Koli) is staying with her parents in Ambala and doing some online learning course. Well, Sid Sir (Rannvijay Singha) opens an institute in the same campus and NNIT, and Dimple joins him. So, once again, there's study, romance, friendship, and rivalry happening between the characters of the show.
As we wrote earlier that Mismatched was a breath of fresh air for the audiences as not many Indian OTT shows were made at that time for the youth, and even season 2 kind of impressed everyone. However, the season 3 fails to impress. Apart from the Betterverse angle, there's nothing that grabs our attention this time. The love story, confusion, LGBTQIA+ angle, everything just looks very repetitive. After Mismatched season 1 and season 2, there were a lot of expectations from the season 3 of the series. However, it fails to live up to the expectations and disappoints.
Mismatched Season 3 Review - Actors' Performances
When we talk about the performances, Rohit Saraf, Taaruk Raina, Abhinav Sharma, and Ahsaas Channa steal the show. Their characters have multiple layers, and they have performed it very well. Prajakta Koli as Dimple is strictly decent, and we can't blame her much as the script doesn't offer her something new to perform.
The supporting actors like Rannvijay Singha, Vidya Malvade, Muskkaan Jaferi, Dipannita Sharma, and Kshitee Jog are good in their respective roles.
Mismatched Season 3 Review - Music
There are some decent songs in season 3, but clearly the season 2 had the best songs. We still listen to Aise Kyun, Pipni, and Mehmaan.
Mismatched Season 3 Review - Final Verdict
Overall, Mismatched Season 3 is good in bits and parts, but that spark is missing that we got to see in season 1 and 2. If you are a die hard fan of the series, then of course, you will watch season 3, but just like us, you will also be disappointed.
