Mufasa The Lion King Review: A Hollywood Film Which Is Very Desi At Heart; A Treat For Kids & SRK Fans

Mufasa The Lion King Review: In 2019, a movie titled The Lion King had hit the big screens. The Hollywood film was dubbed in Hindi, and Bollywood's King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, had given his voice for the character of Mufasa, and his son, Aryan Khan, had dubbed for the character of Simba. Now, a prequel, titled Mufasa The Lion King is all set to release on 20th December 2024. We watched the movie in Hindi in which many Bollywood actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Mishra, Shreyas Talpade, Makarand Deshpande, and Meiyang Chang have given voices to the animated character, and joining them are Aryan Khan as Simba and AbRam Khan as young Mufasa. So, is Mufasa The Lion King worth your time and money? Find out in our review below...
Simba (Aryan Khan) is the king of the jungle now, and he is all set to welcome his second child. He tells Pumbaa (Sanjay Mishra) and Timon (Shreyas Talpade) to take care of his daughter Kiara as he is going to his wife for the delivery. Rafiki (Makarand Deshpande) also joins Pumbaa and Timon, and he tells Kiara the story of her grandfather Mufasa (Shah Rukh Khan / Aryan Khan) that how he become the king of the jungle before her father.
Well, the basic concept of the movie about what happens with Mufasa in childhood, how he grows up, falls in love with someone, and becomes the king, is quite generic. We have watched this storyline in many movies espeically in Bollywood films that too in the 80s and 90s.
But, what makes Mufasa The Lion King an entertaining film is the way Barry Jenkins has narrated it. Also, the animation is amazing. It is so good that you will forget that the animals are actually made of CGI and they not real.
Hindi audience will surely connect with Mufasa The Lion King because the makers have once again got the best actors or we would say the best voices from the Hindi film industry. Shah Rukh Khan as Mufasa once again wins our hearts, and AbRam's voice as the young Mufasa is super cute.
Sanjay Mishra and Shreyas Talpade surely make us laugh out loud with their voices, and the way they have dubbed the dialogues. Makarand Deshpande and Meiyang Chang also leave a mark, but Aryan as Simba doesn't have much to do this time.
Mufasa The Lion King Review - Final Verdict
Overall, Mufasa The Lion King is an entertaining film. While it is a Hollywood film, it is very desi at heart. A treat for kids and Shah Rukh Khan's fans!
