Aneez Bazmee's psychological thriller Naam - starring Ajay Devgn, Sameera Reddy, Bhoomika Chawla and Rahul Dev, has released in theatres for the first time 10 years after it was originally made. A tale of lost memories, gangsters and family being more than just blood relations, the over 2-hour-long actioner is anything but boring.Alomg with tons of drama and bloodshed, the film will also make you chuckle with its humour and comedy.
Written by Bazmee and Humayun Mirza, Naam ticks all the boxes we had in placed when we dreamy of seem Ajay on the big screen from the 90s to the 2010s. It's a massy film with the right amount of action, drama, dialogues and music. Talking about the story, the film tells the story of Shekhar - a man who lost his memory after a shootout and is not on a mission to know about his part. Begining in the picturesque Manali, the narrative then shifts to Mumbai where both the underworld and police are after him. The answers to why both parties are hellbent on killing him is what makes up the plot of the film.
On the technical front, Anees Bazmee has done a good job behind the camera. From the sets to the costumes and even the choreography, Naam is sure to take you back a decade when life was stress free.
The film's music is peppy despite having emotional tracks with touching lyrics and sensational songs that are sure to set the screens on fire.
Talking about the performances, Ajay Devgn shines bright as the different characters he essays on the big screen. Sameera Reddy and Bhoomika Chawla have both done justice to their roles.Rahul Dev and Yashpal Sharma as the film's villains are a commendable force to be reckoned with.
