Savi Review: Divya Gives Her Career's Best Performance In This Film Which Is Filled With Thrilling Moments

Savi Review: Divya Khossla has mainly starred in movies in which either she plays the wife of the protagonist or she is seen as the cute-bubbly girl. But, for the first time, we will be getting to watch her in a thriller titled Savi which has hit the big screens today. Savi is directed by Abhinay Deo and also stars Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan Rane in the lead roles. So, is Savi worth your time and money? Find out in our review below...
The movie revolves around Savi (Divya Khossla) who is living in Liverpool, England, with her husband Nakul (Harshvardhan Rane) and a son. Nakul is arrested for allegedly murdering his boss, but Savi believes that her husband is innocent. Due to one incident, Nakul's life is in danger in the prison and Savi plans a prison break and tries save her husband. How she does that and will she be successful in it, forms the rest of the story...
Savi is an adaptation of the 2008 French thriller Pour Elle (Anything For Her). While I have not watched Pour Elle, Savi is a fresh new film for me. However, after watching the trailer of the French film, we can say that the big change that Abhinay Deo has done here is that he has changed the genders of the characters. While in Pour Elle, it's the wife who gets arrested and the husband tries to save her, the Hindi adaptation has wife saving her husband.
The movie starts on a good note, but you will feel that the pace is quite slow. But, once Savi starts her research about prison break, and meets Dr. Paul (Anil Kapoor), the movie picks up. Post interval, the film becomes much better and there are scenes that will keep you on the edge of the seat to know what will happen next. Mukesh Bhatt, the producer of the film, at the trailer launch had said that this film will shock you. Well, it does, as Deo has very smartly narrated the climax and we can't guess what and how Savi has done.
Savi Actors' Performances
Talking about performances, Divya Khossla has given her career's best performance in the movie. She is simply excellent, and proves that she has potential to carry such roles. We hope that after Savi, we will get to watch her in such strong roles more. Anil Kapoor has an extended cameo and he dons multiple looks in the film. We have to say that he has been given some of the best dialogues and scenes, and the veteran actor has nailed it. Also, he will make you laugh out loud. Harshvardhan Rane doesn't have much to do, but he is good in his role.
Savi Music
When it comes to music, the song Khol Pinjra plays as a background score in pivotal scenes, and it surely leaves a strong mark.
Savi Review Final Verdict
Overall, Savi is a good thriller that will keep you on the edge of the seat especially in the second half, and the climax will leave you shocked. Watch this one to see that Divya Khossla is surely very talented!
