Singham Again Movie Review: Ajay Devgn’s Film Is A Perfect Diwali Entertainer, Salman’s Cameo Steals The Show

Singham Again Review: After the success of Shaitaan and the failure of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha earlier this year, Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn is finally back to entertain fans with his much-hyped film Singham Again. The third installment in Rohit Shetty's Singham franchise, the cop drama is counted among the most-anticipated films of the year.

Co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Tiger Shroff among others in important characters, Singham Again has been making headlines ever since the makers unveiled its trailer with special appearances of Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh. The film marks Shetty's eleventh collaboration (excluding cameos) with Devgn and moviegoers were eager to watch it on the big screen.

Just like them, even I was equally kicked about Singham Again and just watched its first day, first show. Mera toh paisa full-on vasool hua. Well, let's analyze the movie.

SINGHAM AGAIN STORY REVIEW:

As shown in the trailer, the story of Singham Again is adapted from the epic tale of Ramayana. Avni (played by Kareena Kapoor Khan) is kidnapped by Danger Lanka (played by Arjun Kapoor) in order to take revenge from Bajirao Singham (Ajay Devgn). The film revolves around Singham's efforts to save his wife from the dangerous villain.

The first half feels somewhat stretched with its buildup around the Ramayana-inspired plot and characters, though the overall storyline, while predictable, remains effective as well as entertaining.

SINGHAM AGAIN ACTING REVIEW:

As expected, Ajay Devgn has delivered a strong performance as Bajirao Singham. He has several whistle-worthy dialogues and fans are going to love his massy-avatar once again. Kareena Kapoor played her part well. Arjun Kapoor's performance exceeded expectations, but he falls short of portraying the grandeur and menace required for Ravana's character.

SINGHAM AGAIN SPECIAL HIGHLIGHT:

The cameos add excitement and provide solid support to the plot. Ranveer Singh's appearance as Simmba appearance as Simmba is a little OTT but adds an entertaining touch to the story. Deepika Padukone's action avatar is going to be a treat to her fans. Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar also gave their best in action sequences and grabbed eyeballs. However, Salman Khan as the surprise package Chulbul Panadey stole the show completely.

SINGHAM AGAIN OVERALL VERDICT:

Singham Again is a perfect Diwali entertainer and is a must watch. Ajay Devgn delivered a strong performance and is in his mass avatar. The film stays true to its mass appeal roots with Ajay Devgn delivering a standout performance once again. After the failure of Cirkus, Rohit Shetty is back with a bang! Overall, it's a one-time watch film, best enjoyed with family.
