Dhurandhar 2 Movie Review And Rating

With its grand scale, intense narrative, and strong pre-release hype, the film arrived as one of the most awaited releases of the year. As Dhurandhar 2 has finally hit the theatres, let's take a look at the full review below:

DHURANDHAR 2 (DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE) STORY REVIEW

The story of Dhurandhar 2 begins on an emotional note, diving into the backstory of Jaskirat Singh Rangi. The film carefully explores the struggles faced by his family and the circumstances that shaped his journey into becoming a spy. This initial setup helps build a strong emotional connection, giving depth to the character before the high-stakes drama unfolds.

Soon, the narrative shifts to the present timeline, where the funeral of Rehman Dakait sets a serious tone. At the same time, Arshad Pappu is seen celebrating his rise as the new leader of Lyaari, establishing a contrast between power, loss, and ambition. This transition into the current timeline is handled smoothly, setting the stage for the political drama that follows.

The plot gains momentum when Hamza begins to manipulate the power dynamics. He convinces Uzair that Arshad Pappu was responsible for Rehman Dakait's death, along with the involvement of SP Chaudhary Aslam. This twist leads to a major turning point, as both Hamza and Uzair eliminate Arshad Pappu, paving the way for Uzair to take control of Lyaari.

However, the power game doesn't stop there. In a calculated move, Hamza eventually removes Uzair as well (without killing him), clearing his own path to become the dominant force in Lyaari. This rise to power is portrayed with intensity, showing Hamza's strategic mindset and ruthless approach. His growing influence in Pakistan's political landscape soon attracts the attention of Bade Sahab (Dawood Imrahim), adding another layer to the story.

If you're here to know if Emraan Hashmi is playing Bade Sahab or not, we'd prefer keeping it a mystery to avoid spoiling your movie-watching experience.

In terms of the screenplay, the first half keeps the audience engaged with steady pacing and strong character development. The interval arrives at just the right moment, leaving viewers curious and eager to see how the story unfolds further. While the pace dips slightly around and right after the interval, it quickly recovers as the second half picks up momentum.

The latter half turns out to be the biggest strength of Dhurandhar 2. Packed with back-to-back twists and unexpected developments, it keeps the audience hooked till the very end. The narrative becomes more gripping, making the second half a thoroughly engaging watch.

DHURANDHAR 2 (DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE) PERFORMANCE REVIEW

Performance-wise, Ranveer Singh delivers a powerful act, carrying Dhurandhar 2 on his shoulders. His portrayal of Hamza/Jaskirat is intense, layered, and emotional, adding depth to the character's transformation. Among the supporting cast, Arjun Rampal got the meatier part this time and did full justice to it.

Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor, and Gaurav Gera also made their presence felt with their performances. However, Dhurandhar 2 is completely a Ranveer Singh show.

DHURANDHAR 2 OVERALL VERDICT: IS DHURANDHAR BETTER THAN PART 1?

Dhurandhar The Revenge manages to live up to its hype for the most part. While a lot of hype was around the character of Bade Sahab, it might disappoint a section of moviegoers. The film has a few pacing issues in the middle; however, it compensates with a strong second half and an engaging climax.

Even if it isn't better, Dhurandhar The Revenge manages to reach the bar set by its first part. Overall, a must-watch!
