The story begins with Keenu, played by Naseeruddin Shah, expressing a wish that surprises everyone around him. He wants to travel to Sargodha in Pakistan, a place he still considers home. However, age-related memory issues seem to have blurred his understanding of the present. Unable to fulfil his wish, Keenu's condition deteriorates, and he suffers a brain stroke.

Meanwhile, his grandson Nirvair Grewal (Diljit Dosanjh) is living abroad and juggling his career as a software engineer while nurturing dreams of becoming a stand-up comedian. Although his father advises him not to rush back to India because Keenu's survival is uncertain, Nirvair decides to visit his grandfather. His arrival becomes a turning point, as Keenu slowly begins to recover and reveals fragments of an unfinished chapter from his past.
