Nicaragua’s Sheynnis Palacios Wins Miss Universe 2023; India’s Shweta Sharda Makes It To Top 20

The prestigious Miss Universe 2023 took place in Jose Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador and it was a grand event. The 72nd Miss Universe pageant witnessed contestants from 84 countries and territories competing for the crown but it was Nicaragua's Sheynnis Palacios who managed to win the crown this year.
The diva was crowned by Miss Universe 2022 - USA's R'Bonney Gabriel and it was an overwhelming moment for Sheynnis who looked stunning in an embellished gown. She was competing with Thailand's Anntonia Porsild for the finale and the latter was announced as the first runner-up. On the other hand, Moraya Wilson from Australia was given the title of second runner up.
Interestingly, India's Shweta Sharda had managed to make it to the top 20 finalists who looked stunning in an embellished gown. She was competing with Thailand's Anntonia Porsild for the finale and the latter was announced as the first runner-up. On the other hand, Moraya Wilson from Australia was given the title of second runner up at the event which was hosted by Jeannie Mai, Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo and Maria Menounos
Interestingly, India's Shweta Sharda had managed to make it to the top 20 finalists. However, she failed to make it to the top 10 finalists. While Sheynnis Palacios has been showered with congratulatory wishes from all around the world, Pakistan's Erica Robin has also been making headlines for her participation in the beauty pageant. To note, this is the first time Pakistan has been participating in the beauty pageant.
Interestingly, she was seen participating in the swimsuit round in a fully covered light pink loose gown instead of a typical bikini in order to honour her religion and country's beliefs.
