Paris Fashion Week 2023: Model In Giant Furball Crashes Into Crowd After Losing Runway; Watch Hilarious Video

Paris Fashion Week 2023: The highly anticipated Paris Fashion Week is underway with dazzling displays of style both on the runways and in celebrity gatherings. However, apart from the fashion, it's the bizarre outfits and goof-ups on ramps that grab all the media attention.
Notably, there's already been a headline-grabbing incident where a model during Christian Cowan's show strutted down the runway wearing an oversized furball and crashed into the audience seated in the front row. The video has since gone viral on social media.
Model in a giant furball custom crashes into the crowd after losing the runway
On Thursday, New York-based designer Christian Cowan made his debut at Paris Fashion Week, showcasing his ready-to-wear Spring 2024 collection. The show took place at the 19th-century American cathedral in Paris amid a surreal ambience with blood-red lighting and an artificial fog created for the show.
Singer Sam Smith performed a cover of 'You Spin Me Round' on a rotating stage when a model made her entrance onto the runway wearing a huge colossal furball costume. The model's head was completely covered, and when she was making her way to walk the ramp, she first got stuck at the central platform where Sam was performing.
Although the singer nudged the model in the right direction, unfortunately, she couldn't navigate her way in the cumbersome outfit and ended up crashing into the guests' seated in the front row.
People tried to show the model the right direction, but in that bizarre outfit, she could not move and ultimately fell down and rolled like a ball until the organisers helped her.
The video shared by fashion page 'Diet Prada' on Instagram instantly went viral. They captioned the clip: "A model dressed as a giant furball got lost on the runway at Christian Cowan. Sam Smith helped redirect the furry wrecking ball before it crashed into the front row and the cathedral altar."
After the video circulated online, it promoted various reactions ranging from shock to amusement, with people questioning the practicality of such eccentric fashion. One user wrote, "What was the point of this? Made a joke of the show and the poor model must have received an earful after this."
"Fashion is such a joke, I bet it was real fur too, how sad," commented another user. Sam Smith and Cowan too had a funny reaction to the video. Smith wrote, "WE HAD A BALL."
"She came into Paris Fashion Week like a wrecking ball. No models were harmed," Cowan commented.
