DeepFake Controversy: Priyanka Chopra Becomes Latest Victim After Rashmika Mandanna, Alia Bhatt & Katrina Kaif

Deepfake video controversy: In a disturbing turn of events, global icon Priyanka Chopra has become the latest victim of deepfake technology. Earlier, manipulated videos of Rashmika Mandanna, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, and Kajol had gone viral on social media.
With Priyanka's video going viral, the controversy surrounding deepfake videos has once again raised questions about the potential misuse of artificial intelligence. While the videos of other celebrities had their faces digitally altered, Priyanka's video shows doctorate of her voice.
PRIYANKA CHOPRA'S DEEPFAKE VIDEO GOES VIRAL
In this particular deepfake clip, Priyanka Chopra appears to be discussing her annual earnings while endorsing a brand. While PeeCee's face remains unaltered, the voiceover and scripted lines are entirely fabricated which has been replaced from original lines from one of her past interviews. It is worth mentioning that the account through which the video was shared was unclickable.

ALIA BHATT'S DEEPFAKE VIDEO
Meanwhile, earlier, a video featuring a morphed face of Alia Bhatt had gone viral on social media platforms. The video portrayed a fabricated scene where Alia Bhatt's face was digitally superimposed onto another woman's body, who is seen sitting on a bed. The manipulated footage showcases the faux Alia, adorned in a blue floral, strappy co-ord set, making gestures towards the camera.
KAJOL & KATRINA KAIF'S DEEPFAKE VIDEO
This incident was followed by a deepfake video of Bollywood actress Kajol, that showed a woman, originally a British social media influencer changing clothes on camera. Fact-checking platform BoomLive had revealed the true origin of the footage.
Katrina Kaif's manipulated video featured her in an action sequence from the film Tiger-3. While, the original video shows her in a towel the edited version had her wearing a low-cut white top.
