Dispute Over Air Conditioning In Kanpur Theatre

The much-awaited sequel to 2001 hit 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' starring Sunny Deol has not only been making waves for its cinematic success but has also attracted attention due to multiple incidents of unrest during screenings. The most recent episode took place at the South X cinema hall in Kanpur.

The trouble began when a section of the cine-goers complained about the insufficient cooling in the theater. In response, bouncers present at the venue allegedly used physical violence against the complainants. A video of the altercation quickly went viral across social media platforms.

Moviegoers Allegedly Assaulted

As per reports of India Today, Mithilesh Gupta, the president of the Uttar Pradesh Dal Mill Association, was attending the screening with his family when the incident occurred. Gupta stated that after the issue of inadequate air conditioning was raised, bouncers along with the theater management called his sons from the theater and assaulted them.

The police called in and later intervened to restore law and order and also lodged a complaint against the miscreants, responsible for the violence. The Kanpur Police Commissioner later addressed the crowd.

Gadar 2 Screening Halted In Noida

In another unfortunate turn of events, a screening of 'Gadar 2' at a theater in Noida faced technical difficulties due to a malfunctioning projector. This led to chaotic scenes and prompted the theater management to seek assistance from the police. The issue was later resolved and the film was screened.

Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 is a sequel to the acclaimed 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The original film showcased the gripping story of Tara, a truck driver portrayed by Sunny Deol, and Sakina, played by Ameesha Patel, set against the backdrop of India's partition in 1947.

The sequel shows Tara embarking on a mission to rescue his son, portrayed by Utkarsh Sharma, who is held captive across the border in Pakistan. The film released in theaters on August 11.
