Actor Salim Diwan Celebrates Diwali In A Unique Way With Cancer Patients

While the entire nation was celebrating Diwali with grandeur and Bollywood celebrities were busy at lavish parties, actor Salim Diwan decided to make his Diwali celebration special by spending it with those fighting a grave illness like cancer. Salim Diwan, known for his sensitive portrayal in the film Aliya Basu Gayab Hai, demonstrated a profound example of humanity and compassion.
On Tuesday, Salim Diwan visited Tata Memorial Hospital in Parel, Mumbai, where he spent the entire day with children and other patients battling cancer. He brought smiles to the faces of the children by participating in playful activities, dancing, and enjoying a puppet show, aiming to lift their spirits and share in their emotions.
While celebrities typically attend high-profile events for Diwali, Salim won everyone's hearts by celebrating in this unique way. His emotional and inspiring gesture brought joy and a ray of hope to the faces of those patients who are courageously facing their illness.
During this special event, Salim not only met with patients but also engaged in heartfelt conversations with them. He listened to their stories, offered comfort, and conveyed the message that they are not alone in this difficult journey. The hospital management appreciated Salim's actions, remarking that his presence significantly boosted the patients' confidence and happiness.
Through this gesture, Salim Diwan proved that an actor's duty is not limited to performing on screen; fulfilling one's social responsibilities is equally essential. By celebrating Diwali with cancer patients, he conveyed that true Diwali is about lighting up others' lives. His actions inspired not only the patients but also society, showing that genuine happiness is found in bringing smiles to others.
Diwan shared, "Spending time with such people, sharing in their happiness, alleviating their pain, and giving them new hope brings me true satisfaction. Every time I am with them, I feel a renewed strength and energy."
It's noteworthy that Salim Diwan also celebrates his birthday every year with orphaned girls, sharing meals, having fun, and gifting them their favorite items. Additionally, Salim has adopted 20 children, fully covering their education and living expenses.
During this Diwali celebration, he presented each patient with a special gift, which was more than a mere physical token-it was a source of inspiration. These gifts symbolized courage and resilience, aiming to ease their pain, even if just for a moment.
