Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, along with Municipal Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, recently led a tree plantation event in Mumbai, planting 390 trees as part of a larger movement to increase the city's green cover. The initiative, organized by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in collaboration with The Tree Authority, Fit Mumbai and Make Earth Green Again (MEGA) Foundation, involved planting 300 Bahawa trees along the Western Express Highway near Kherwadi. This effort is a tribute by Akshay Kumar to his late parents, Hari Om Bhatia and Aruna Bhatia, and highlights the collective action needed to combat climate change and promote greener urban environments.
