All We Imagine As Light Earns Dual Gotham Nominations for Best International Film And Best Director

Payal Kapadia's All We Imagine as Light has received two notable nominations at the 2024 Gotham Awards: Best International Film Category and Best Director Category. These annual awards, held by the Gotham Film & Media Institute, celebrate achievements in independent filmmaking and will take place on December 2 at Cipriani Wall Street, New York City.
The film, which previously made waves by winning the Grand Prix at Cannes, explores the intersecting lives of two Kerala nurses, Prabha and Anu, navigating personal and cultural challenges in Mumbai. These nominations mark the first time an Indian film has been recognized in these categories, with Best Director introduced this year and Best International Film in its fourth year.
Being nominated at the Gotham Awards is proof of the film's cinematic excellence and another feather in its journey post its debut at the Cannes Film Festival. The film has been released to rave reviews and packed cinemas in France and Italy, and is now scheduled to release in the US before its homecoming on the 22nd of November across theaters in India.
