Ankita Lokhande On Rejecting Student Of The Year 3: Ankita Lokhande has been making headlines ever since a report claimed that the actress rejected Karan Johar's Student Of The Year 3 web series. Even an insider confirmed that the news is indeed true that the actress was approached for to be a part of the franchise, however, the reason is not revealed on why Ankita rejected the role in the first place. Now, within 24 hours of the news surfaced, Ankita broke silence and clarified everything that her fans are supposed to know.

On Thursday a source confirmed to News18, "Yes, Ankita was approached for Student of The Year 3. I am not sure about the role she was offered but she was definitely asked if she could be a part of the SOTY franchise. However, she has rejected the offer and nobody knows the reason behind her decision."
However, quashing the reports, Ankita took to Instagram stories and claimed that she hasn't been approached for the same at all. She shared a screenshot of the story, and wrote, "Quite flattered by this rumour but this Koffee order wasn't mine to begin with."

Earlier, Karan Johar announced that Reema Maya would direct the third installment of Student Of The Year, which will star Shanaya Kapoor. which will be a digital version of the franchise. It is also reported that Ibrahim Ali Khan is set to star opposite Shanaya Kapoor, however, no official confirmation has come yet from the makers' side. Furthermore, the web series will reportedly stream on Disney+ Hotstar.
