Amid the tension in Kolkata for the RG Kar doctor death case and people on the verge of boycotting the Tollywood industry, another celebrity came under the limelight for all the wrong reasons! Actor Samrat Mukherji, who is known to have been a popular face for being part of popular Bengali serials, was arrested in Kolkata. The primary report suggested that Mukherji's car collided with a motorcycle and not only just that, but it also crashed into a nearby house.

Samrat Mukherjee Arrest Update

Samrat was arrested after his car hit into a motocyclist, who is 29-years-old resident living in Behala. The injured person was first taken to M R Bangur hospital after which he was being taken to SSKM hospital. Upon being asked, the motocyclist said to a news portal, "It was 12:30 am when I was returning home. I saw a car coming from the wrong side at high speed. The car hit me, and I lost consciousness."

On the other hand, the police has ensured that they are investigating on the matter after he was taken into custody, "The actor has been arrested and is now being taken for a medical test. We are investigating the matter," police said.

Local people who witnessed the accident said that lost the control of its vehicle and collided with a motorcycle after which he crashed into a nearby house, damaging the boundary wall.
