Bihari Boy From Banka Proves That IIT JEE Failure Is Not The End Of The Road!

Ayaan Kumar's dream of joining IIT Delhi took a negative turn during the COVID-19 lockdown. But he discovered his passion for making unique and stunning VFX videos on the short video app Josh, and even started earning good pocket money.
Ayaan was raised in a close-knit family in Banka, Bihar. His family owned a small jewelry shop, and Ayaan was expected to look after it one day. But Ayaan dreamt of escaping the small town by getting into IIT. After school, he prepared hard for the IIT JEE exam but couldn't crack it, and finally joined PBS Engineering College in Banka.
Before he could get a job, COVID-19 lockdown happened and his dreams were shattered again. His family business was badly hit, and he began spending time at home. He had tried creative projects at school; he knew he was imaginative, but never got to fully explore his creative side.
He taught himself VFX and experimented with different tools. As Ayaan says, "I was introduced to Josh by my friend, and I used to spend hours watching videos. I was inspired by many content creators but never wanted to copy anyone. VFX tools on short videos also appealed to my techie side." He also used his analytical skills to observe that children were his main audience. As he says, "I realized I love entertaining children, and I made VFX videos because I wanted to feel like a child and inspire them."

As Ayaan's videos gained traction, they caught the attention of children and parents across India. Many reached out and thanked him. His content was so clean and engaging that parents loved showing their kids his videos! While creators on the "international" platforms tend to be upwardly mobile youth from India's top-tier towns, creators from smaller towns are finding traction on Josh. The platform has 250Mn monthly active users, at least 40% of whom are in non-metro cities of India. Today Ayaan has gained 250k+ followers.
When asked about his Josh presence, Ayaan stated, "Josh helped to start my creative journey, and when I saw the Creator Pro Program on Josh, I also found financial success. My family are now convinced that my creative interests have potential and they are supportive now."
Ayaan is not the only creator making money on JOSH. There are 1000+ such creators who have found a source of online income, thanks to Josh Creator Pro. This program is designed to pay creators for any video which causes high engagement. This is unlike most platforms, Creator Pro also pays creators with very few followers or who are just starting out as creators - i.e. as long as the video engages users, they can earn from their very first video, which is what happened with Ayaan.
In a world where career dreams often seem out of reach, Ayaan's journey serves as a guiding light, inspiring countless others to chase their interests with courage and determination. Check out all of Ayaan's content HERE.
