How A 90’s TV Show Inspired A Video Creator from Uttar Pradesh!

Meet Namvar, a talented young creator from Sonbhadra, UP, who is making waves in the world of online content creation. At 25, Namvar has transitioned from a math student to a top creator, creating educational and entertaining videos full-time. Despite his initial uncertainties, Namvar found unwavering support from his family, who have been his biggest cheerleaders throughout his journey.

Hailing from a farming family, Namvar's roots ground him in humility and hard work. He credits his upbringing for instilling in him the values of perseverance and dedication. Though Namvar started his journey without a clear concept in mind, he found inspiration from the 90s show Shaka Laka Boom Boom, where a young boy gets a magic pencil, which helps him throughout his magical journey.

Namvar discovered his love for making videos as many creators were going viral during covid. His initial inspiration was his own 17 year-old nephew who is popular on Youtube. Namvar initially created a few videos with a bunch of fellow creators, which were not so great, but slowly he got better at storytelling. His videos gained traction when he used storylines around topics which touched the heart of the Indian audience - like the Indian Army, devotional content, patriotism, doing good deeds, etc.

Now, Namwar spends his days crafting content for platforms like Josh and Instagram, where he shares a variety of videos ranging from educational content to moral stories and devotional stories.

Reflecting on his content, Namwar added, "I want people to believe that magic does happen if you have faith." Each video radiates Namwar's sheer storytelling skills. Like this video, where he blessed an Indian Army Jawan the weapon to destroy all enemies. Also here, where he saved a kid with the help of his magic pencil.

Today, Namwar is among a few very respectable creators, with his biggest fan following on the short video platform, Josh. With a whopping 200 million Hindi speaking monthly active users, at least 40% of whom reside in central Indian states like Uttar Pradesh, Josh is becoming a hotspot for creators like him. Thanks to a huge young audience with a knack for creative & interesting content, Namvar is gaining popularity on Josh these days.

In fact, Namwar's magic pencil videos have now enabled him to earn money from Josh. This is not via the typical method of brand sponsorship that most influencers on short video platforms use, but via a unique program.
