IFFI 2024: MIB, NFDC Host Get-together With Kartik Aaryan, Aneez Bazmi, Bhushan Kumar & Others For THIS Reason
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and NFDC India convened industry leaders to discuss strategies for enhancing participation in the International Film Festival of India and Film Bazaar, promoting collaboration and showcasing global cinema.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) and The National Film Development Corporation (NFDC India recently gathered the crème de la crème of the Indian industry for an engaging session aimed at bolstering participation in the forthcoming International Film Festival of India (IFF) and the Filmazaar. This year is particularly momentous as it celebrates the 55th edition of IFFI and the 18th Film Bazaar, set to grace the shores of Goa from November 20 to 28 and November 21 to 24, respectively. The meet saw an illustrious roster of attendees, including prominent figures like Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Aneez Bazmi, Kartik Aryan, and Bhushan Kumar, among others.
Strategic Discussions at the Film Bazaar
The dialogue at this prestigious gathering centered on how the Film Bazaar serves as a pivotal platform for filmmakers to showcase their projects and seek out opportunities for international sales, co-productions, and more. The event highlighted the importance of setting up pavilions to present films within the curated projects across different categories such as the Co-production market and screenwriters lab. Engaging in open buyer-seller meetings was underscored as a crucial component for fostering industry connections and collaborations.

In tandem with these discussions, Mr. Kumar expressed optimism about the influence of the Film Bazaar and IFFI on the Indian cinema landscape. Supporting the initiative, Mrs. Smita Vats Sharma, Director General (West Zone) at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and D. Ramakrishnan, General Manager at NFDC, joined Prithul Kumar in hosting this vital interaction.
