Manmohan Singh Death Reason: The year 2024 seems to be turning quite harsh as it took away another gem of the country. Months after India lost its legendary businessman Ratan Tata, December 26 brought another heartbreaking news as a renowned politician breathed his last. We are talking about former Prime Minister Of India Manmohan Singh (Dr. Manmohan Singh) who passed away today (December 26, 2024) at the age of 92. According to media reports, he was recently admitted to AIIMS in the national capital.

The news was confirmed by the hospital authorities that revealed that Manmohan Singh passed away due to age related medical conditions. The official statement read as, "With profound grief, we inform the demise of the former Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh, aged 92. He was being treated for age-related medical conditions and had a sudden loss of consciousness at home on 26 December 2024. Resuscitative measures were started immediately at home. He was brought to the Medical Emergency at AIIMS, New Delhi at 8:06 PM. Despite all efforts, he could not be revived and was declared dead at 9:51 PM".
PM Modi Mourns Manmohan Singh's Demise
Needless to say, the news of Manmohan Singh's unfortunate demise has come as a massive shock for everyone. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote that the country is in grief of losing 'one of its most distinguished leaders'. He stated that while Manmohan Singh's interventions in Parliament were insightful, he also made extensive efforts to improve lives of people. "He served in various government positions as well, including as Finance Minister, leaving a strong imprint on our economic policy over the years," PM Modi added.
Meanwhile, Manmohan Singh's funeral is likely to take place tomorrow (December 27, 2024) in Delhi. However, no official announcement in this regard has been made so far.
