Mute Entertainer Earning Money For Breaking Language Barriers

Hailing from a small village called Bamanpukur in West Bengal, Arman Mallik saw a lot of hardship in his life. Arman lived with his three brothers and he made a scratchy living working handyman jobs around the village. His life took a turn when he bought his first smartphone in 2017. He saw that his quirky face made people laugh, and started to focus on that in his videos. Arman also felt that because of his Bengali accent, his videos could reach less people. Hence he experimented with videos which did not require any dialogues, and he made a few videos without any voice. That's when his content really took off, as people really connected with his expression driven silent comedy. The Josh audience was a match for his quirk, as Josh has over 150Mn people living in all parts of India - both urban and rural.

His silent videos became viral and to his surprise, he started earning money on Josh, as Josh has a creator focused monetisation initiative named Creator Pro. This program judges content engagement only, and does not need a creator to have millions of followers or hundreds of videos.

Today Armaan's entire family creates content and supports each other, including his 6 years old son. Armaan makes sure his son focuses on studies but also dreams to see him become a big content creator someday soon.
