Neha Dhupia, a renowned actress and fitness enthusiast, along with Anita Lobo, are at the forefront of a new initiative aimed at shattering the taboos surrounding women's health and wellness through the GoFlo Run. Set to take place on December 8, 2024, at the MMRDA Grounds in BKC, Mumbai, this event is more than a mere fitness gathering. It stands as a beacon for the #HerRunHerRules movement, focusing on dismantling barriers, fostering impactful discussions, and inciting significant advancements for women throughout India.

The GoFlo Run, orchestrated by Nova Saki Media Pvt. Ltd., is an exclusively women's event that aspires to unite approximately 5,000 participants. It promotes not only physical fitness but also the cultivation of a supportive community and the encouragement of open conversations about issues frequently left unspoken, such as menstrual health. With registration kicking off on September 30th, the event offers a choice of three distances: 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km, catering to both runners and walkers alike. The course, starting from the MMRDA Grounds, will meander through Mumbai's lively streets, symbolizing the city's resilience and solidarity, all while rallying behind a vital cause.

Neha Dhupia, expressing her views on the unique essence of the GoFlo Run, stated, "Running has always given me a sense of freedom and connection with others, and that's what we want to bring to the GoFlo Run." She further emphasized, "But this run is different. It's not just about fitness; it's about creating a space where we can talk openly about something so many women face in silence. Menstrual health is something so many of us have struggled to talk about openly. By coming together for this run, we're not just challenging that stigma—we're lifting each other up, creating a community where every woman feels seen, heard, and supported."

Anita Lobo, sharing her insights and experiences, said, "As women, it's so important that we open up conversations about our health, especially when it comes to menstruation, a topic we often shy away from." Lobo, a former national-level athlete, highlighted the psychological and physical hurdles faced by women due to menstruation. "It was through overcoming these struggles that the idea for GoFlo Run was born. This isn't just an event; it's a community where we can support one another, break the silence around periods, and embrace our shared experiences. My deepest hope is that we can inspire real change and help every girl and woman feel empowered to thrive."

The GoFlo Run embodies the ethos of the #HerRunHerRules campaign, striving to forge an encouraging and all-embracing space where women can surpass their limitations and connect with others who share a zeal for change and well-being. Furthermore, a segment of the proceeds from registration fees will be contributed to a partnering NGO. This initiative extends the run's influence by financing projects that bolster women's empowerment and enhance access to menstrual hygiene products and healthcare services, thereby amplifying the positive impact of this groundbreaking event.
