Vinesh Phogat Hospitalised In Paris: Vinesh Phogat, 29-year-old wrestler, has been admitted to a hospital in Paris after she fainted at the Olympics venue. The news came hours after she got disqualified from the from the women's 50kg final for being 150 grams overweight.

While Vinesh Phogat's disqualification came as a shock to Indians, her recent health concern left all her fans worried. On Wednesday (August 7), Vinesh Bhogat has been rushed to a hospital in Paris after she fainted at Olympics venue due to dehydration, according to reports. As per reports surfacing online, Phogat didn't sleep the entire night and was skipping meals or running to lose the required weight, hoping to fall under the weight category.
Vinesh's uncle Mahavir Phogat also confirmed that she had tried extremely hard to shred those extra grams overnight without sleeping. She had been exercising continuously, including cycling and skipping, but her efforts were in vain at the end.
Narendra Modi Reacts To Vinesh Phogat's Disqualification From Paris Olympics 2024
Following the disheartening news of Vinesh being disqualified from the final, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X (formerly Twitter) and expressed his concern.
"Vinesh, you are a champion among champions! You are India's pride and an inspiration for each and every Indian," he tweeted.
PM Modi further expressed how hurt he is amid the disqualification of Indian wrestler, "Today's setback hurts. I wish words could express the sense of despair that I am experiencing. At the same time, I know that you epitomise resilience. It has always been your nature to take challenges head on. Come back stronger! We are all rooting for you."
