Rohit Choudhary On National Sports Day 2024: Sports Have Significantly Shaped My Character

Gadar 2 actor Rohit Choudhary might have been average in academics, but he has always been a sports and fitness enthusiast. Speaking on the occasion of National Sports Day, which is celebrated on August 29, he said, "Sports period was the highlight of my school experience. I never missed a day of school when I had sports on the schedule."

"I was actively involved in sports and loved playing kabaddi and volleyball for my school. Sports have significantly shaped my character," he added.

He, in fact, believes that the sports and acting industries are very similar when it comes to discipline. He said, "Without discipline, there is no success in any field. A lapse in practice can set us back in both sports and our careers."

Rohit has tremendous respect for all sports and athletes, but his current favorites are Virat Kohli in team sports and Neeraj Chopra in individual sports. He added, "They have demonstrated an exceptional level of discipline and passion for their sport and have become role models for today's youth."

His favorite sports-themed movies are Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Mary Kom. He added, "They depict the true spirit of an athlete's life in India."

After a certain age, people don't indulge in sports much and instead opt for gymming. But Rohit believes that "sports should be a part of our lifestyle for general fitness because it benefits not only the body but also the mind."

A message to your fans? "I want to reiterate that playing sports helps create strong-willed and strong-character youth. Sports require discipline and challenge the mind, even at the most basic level. Playing sports can help achieve a healthy mind and body, contributing to a fitter India," he ended.
