While Sania Mirza has remained tightlipped about the rumours, the Tennis icon's father Imran Mirza broke his silence and put an end to the the ongoing rumours. As reported by NDTV, Sania's father dismissed his daughter's wedding speculations with Mohammed Shami saying, "This is all rubbish. She has not even met him."

Earlier this year, Sania Mirza's family issued an official statement announcing the Tennis star's divorce with Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik. Sania-Shoaib had gotten married in 2010 and welcomed their first child, son Izhaan in 2018.

The statement read, "Sania has always kept her personal life away from the public eye. However, today the need has arisen for her to share that Shoaib and she have been divorced for a few months now. She wishes Shoaib well for his new journey ahead!," read the statement issued by Mirza's family.
