Tirupati Laddu Controversy has turned into a storm with Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu calling out Tirupati laddu prasad of spoiling sanctity by using animal fat. On the other hand, YSR Congress Naidu denied all he allegations. In the recent development, former priest Raman Dikshathalu came forward to claim that he already knew about it. News18 reports him saying, "I had noticed adulteration in the cow ghee used to prepare Tirupati Laddu Prasad many years ago." He added, "Even after complaining to the concerned officials and the head of the Devasthanam in this regard, they did not pay any attention to it." The former priest claimed that the new government has "promised to clear all these misconceptions." Previously, the laddu makers used to buy ghee from the government and prepare the laddu from the same ghee. Raman claimed that for the last 5 years there has been change in the making of the laddus.

The former priest said, "For the last 5 years, they have been committing the great sin of mixing animal fat and fish oil in Tirupati Laddus." He further urged "We should ensure that such a big sin does not happen again in the holy temple, where crores of devotees have deep faith and devotion."
