Manmohan Singh Passes Away: India's former Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, who served the country between 2004-2014, passed away on December 26, 2024. Known for his impressive educational background, the bureaucrat and economist served as a Governor of India and finance minister before becoming the 13th Prime Minister of the the largest democracy of the world. Apart from a fulfilling political career, Singh was known to be an excellent family man and a loving father to his daughters, Upinder, Daman, and Amrit. Not only him, but his daughters, who he shared with wife Gusharan Kaur, also followed his path to excel in their respective careers.

Upinder Singh- Upinder Singh, renowned historian, is the Dean of faculty of Ashoka University. She has also been the Head of the department in University of Delhi. Other than that, she was awarded the fellowships at prestigious institutions like Cambridge, Harvard, and Leiden. In 2009, she was awarded the Infosys Prize in Social Sciences. On the personal front, she is married to Vijay Tankha, and has two children.
Amrit Singh- Amrit is a renowned human rights lawyer and professor of law at Stanford Law School. With an impressive line up of law degrees from Yale, Oxford, and Cambridge, Amrit has been the part of several high profie cases before European Court and African Court of Human Rights.
Daman Singh- Daman Singh is an acclaimed writer, who has also penned her parents' a memoir, Strictly Personal: Manmohan & Gursharan. Her other books are Sacred Grove & Nine By Nine that tell story of her versatality. She is marrried to Ashok Patnaik, and has one son.
