Sangram Singh, a seasoned wrestler, faced off against Pakistan's Ali Raza Nasir, who is apparently 17 years younger than him, and beat him by delivering a record-breaking performance at the Gama International Fighting Championship in Tbilisi, Georgia.

For those unversed, it's the fastest win for an Indian MMA fighter in the 93 kg division.

Who Is Sangram Singh?

Born on 21st July 1985, Sangram Singh originally hails from Rotak, Haryana. The 39-year old kickstarted his career as a sportsperson with the Delhi Police in 1999. Back in 2012, he was awarded with the title of 'World's Best Professional Wrestler' by World Wrestling Professionals (WWP). He had also own the WWP Commonwealth Heavyweight Championship twice (in 2015 and 2016).

In March 2016, Sangram launched his own sportswear range 'SGXbySangramSingh'. He has also appeared in a couple of music videos.

Sangram Singh was born into a humble family. While his father Umed Singh, is a retired army soldier, his mother Ramodevi is a homemaker. After his birth, Sangram was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and was confined to a wheelchair for the first eight years of his life.

Sangram got married to his longtime girlfriend Payal Rohatgi in a traditional ceremony in July 2022. For those unversed, Payal is a well-known Television actress who had participated in reality shows like Bigg Boss (2008) and ALT Balaji's 'Lock Upp' (2022).
