We are all rooting for you."

To note, Vinesh Phogat was a seasoned competitor under 53 kg freestyle wrestling weight category. She had to cut down her weight to 50 kg for Paris Olympics 2024. After weighing a little more than 50 kg this morning, Vinesh has been disqualified from Paris Olympics. Unfortunately, she will not be winning any medal. Her opponent Sarah Hildebrandt will be awarded the gold medal.

"It is with regret that the Indian contingent shares news of the disqualification of Vinesh Phogat from the Women's Wrestling 50kg class. Despite the best efforts by the team through the night, she weighed in a few grams over 50kg this morning. No further comments will be made by the contingent at this time.
