Bigg Boss (Bangla) Season 3 Updates: BB Bengali Edition To Return After 9 Years On A New Channel?

Following the massive success of Bigg Boss Hindi, the show got its Bengali version in 2013. Hosted by the superstar Mithun Chakraborty, the first episode of Bigg Boss Bangla Season 1 was premiered on 17th June 2013 on ETV Bangla. Then, BB Bangla S2, which took over Bengali television is 2016, would air on Colors Bangla.

The grand return of Bigg Boss Bangla have been doing rounds in the Tolly para for quite a while now. And recently, the rumours got a confirmation. Yes, Bigg Boss Bangla is all set to make a comeback to Bengali TV after almost 9 years with season 3.

Bigg Boss (Bangla) Season 3 Host Name Revealed: Sourav Ganguly To Replace THIS Actor?

This time, Star Jalsha is planning to bring Bigg Boss Bangla back in Bengal. And the biggest update is, Sourav Ganguly will be the host. Yes, you read that right! Former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly is likely to replace Jeet, who earned rave reviews for his performance in the recent Netflix series 'Khakee: The Bengal Chapter', and will host Bigg Boss Bangla Season 3. Reportedly, BB Bangla is expected to air on Star Jalsha this year.

Confirming the same to Anandabazar Patrika, the 'Maharaja' revealed that he will host both Bigg Boss Bangla Season 2 and the upcoming season of Dadagiri simultaneously. He also confirmed that he won't returning as a host on Zee Bangla. This time, Star Jalsha will air both BB Bangla S3 and Dadagiri. Expressing his excitement, Dada revealed that he'd allocate 17 days for the shooting of each show. However, an official announcement is still awaited. As per an ETimes report, Ganguly is said to have a signed a 4-year-deal of Rs 125 cr contract with the channel. The production of both the shows are expected to begin in July 2025.

Hosted by Mithun Chakraborty, singer Aneek Dhar had won the first edition of Bigg Boss Bangla. On the other hand, noted Bengali actor Joyjit Banerjee had become the winner of Bigg Boss Bangla Season 2.
