Starring Babushan Mohanty, Archita, and Aparajita Mohanty in the lead, Bou Buttu Bhuta revolves around the story of Buttu (Babushan Mohanty) and his mother, who live a modest life in a village in Odisha. While Bou dreams of living the place for a better life elsewhere, a series of unforeseen events turns their lives upside down.

Bou Buttu Bhuta's record-breaking box office collection created history. As per Sacnilk, the Jagdish Mishra-directorial is the first-ever Odia-language film to cross the Rs 10 cr-mark (net) in India, surpassing all the other highest-grossing Odia films.

As per the trade tracking site Sacnilk, Bou Buttu Bhuta kicked off its theatrical journey with a net earning of Rs 40 lakhs. Due to the positive word-of-mouth and strong buzz, the movie continued its strong hold at ticket counters and went on to collect Rs 5.15 cr in its 1st week, followed by Rs 4.77 cr in week 2.

According to the latest Sacnilk update, Bou Buttu Bhuta witnessed its weekend hike yesterday (Sunday, June 29) and added Rs 75 lakhs (approx.), taking the total net numbers to Rs 12.34 cr. The gross collection is reported to be at Rs 14.2 cr in India.
