Bou Buttu Bhuta (Odia) Box Office Collection Day 23: And the history has been created! The Odia-language horror-drama 'Bou Buttu Bhuta' has touched a new milestone at the box office, that too, right before its 4th weekend. Helmed by Jagdish Mishra, the regional film has taken over the ticket counters in Odisha, matching up to the expectations. However, the film recorded a noticeable drop in numbers on weekdays this week. But the dip didn't stop the movie from maintaining its domination at the box office.

Starring Babushaan Mohanty as 'Buttu', Archita Sahu as 'Rinki' and Aparajita Mohanty as 'Ratnamala', Bou Buttu Bhuta won over the hearts of the audience with its perfectly mixed horror and drama, with emotions and entertainment.

Amidst strong pre-release buzz, Bou Buttu Bhuta kicked off its theatrical journey on a solid note with an opening day collection of Rs 40 lakhs. The film hit cinemas on June 12, 2025, on the occasion of the Raja festival. Due to the positive word-of-mouth, the Odia film went on to mint Rs 5.15 cr in its first week, followed by Rs 4.77 cr in week 2 and Rs 3.06 cr in 3rd week, as per Sacnilk data.

As reported by the trade tracker site, the box office numbers of the Babushaan Mohanty starrer dropped further below yesterday (Friday, July 4) and managed to add Rs 9 lakhs only. The total 23-day net earnings are estimated to be at Rs 13.21 cr at the domestic box office.

Week 2: ₹ 4.77 Cr

Week 3: ₹ 3.06 Cr

Day 22: ₹ 0.14 Cr

Day 23: ₹ 0.09 Cr

Despite the sharp drop in numbers, Bou Buttu Bhutta has hit a new milestone ahead of its 4th weekend at the box office. As updated by Sacnilk, the gross collection of the highest-grossing Odia film has already crossed the Rs 15 cr-mark, making it the first-ever Odia film to touch this milestone. With a net collection of Rs 13.21, the gross numbers stand at Rs 15.17 cr in 23 days, as per Sacnilk.
